About Fowler, NY
The Town of Fowler began in 1816 and was named for Theodosius Fowler, (1753-1841) a local landowner, who had served as a Captain in the American Revolution.

Fowler is located in southwest St. Lawrence County and borders the towns of Rossie, Gouverneur, Hermon, Edwards, Pitcairn, and Antwerp.
​
The Oswegatchie River's main and west branches flow through Fowler with scenic portages. The town is a beautiful setting for the Gouverneur Country Club and home to the Sylvia Lake community.

St. Lawrence County includes the St. Lawrence River and the Adirondack Mountains in Northern New York.

Shantyville Road, from the Besaw farm to the plow turn around on the Byrns Road end (the Corral).
